Choose Happiness
- Life is a moving picture and nothing stays the same for long. It is a matter of riding out the bad times and looking towards the better ones, all the while waking up each morning giving thanks for the good and choosing to be happy despite whatever grief, sadness, or stress is there.

Ahhh Resilience!!
- Much of it has developed over the years by sticking with things and not giving up. As my faith in God and his goodness has grown, this has equipped me with resilience through my hope in Him and His higher plan for our lives.

The Downs Are Not the Whole Story
- I find that when I'm feeling down, disheartened or depressed, it helps to remember that this feeling isn't the whole story, and that I need to wait and look at the whole picture. That down feeling is itself only a PART of the picture, and some portion of your mind -- the fearful part -- often sends negative thoughts to frighten you and keep you in check. Sometimes depression can even feel comfortable! Don't let those down moments win! They are NOT setting the direction for your life -- you are. Wait until your calmer, stronger self comes back to the surface. Things will fall into perspective. As you wait for that to happen, praise yourself for keeping cool when those bad, down feelings want to throw you off track. Don't let them win an easy victory.

resilient
- I use most of the ideas listed. But I will reflect on the stressor and how it related to past stressors, if it does. From there, I formulate a plan of action for future reference - if I need to communicate with another party on how to avoid this in the future, I will. If I have to return to the scene of the stressor, I make sure I have a do-able plan B which automatically helps me feel more in control - I have rarely had to use my plan B - I am assuming that by having an option I have more power, am empowered and that actually carries into all areas of my life whether used or not.

Lucy
- When you have lived long enough, you have seen them all and survived them all--so this is just another test. This, too, shall pass and be better on the other side.

Living In The Spirit
- It is an ordinary thing in this world to experience stress, but I've realised that learning from Christ in every thing is the greatest stress reliever. To leaders, one cannot lead God's people unless he/she is connected to their creator. The ordinary things of this world are not the end of life cause above ordinary there is extra-ordinary. As a branch depends on the vine for its survival its responsibility is to bear fruits.

The Great God of the Universe
- I discovered a Bible verse in Romans 15:13 (NIV) that is worthy of sharing. "May the God of hope fill you will joy as you trust Him; that you may overflow with hope in the power of the Holy Spirit." Personally, I've never found a greater stress reducer than focusing on Him and His promises. Joy and peace - what a combination worth trusting Him for!!100% guarantee and no money required...gotta love it!

Child Loss
- Burying your child is the worst loss in the world. One does not begin to understand it unless you have experienced it. Elizabeth Edwards has experienced the worst loss in the world & all these other losses -- cancer, her husband's infidelity--are secondary. The resilience she has learned by getting out of bed and continuing the journey after Wade died will carry her through anything else life gives her.

When I Can't Sleep
- Usually when I can't sleep, I either watch tv...or just make up a story in my head. Sometimes if you listen to music and make up a story with the song...it helps you fall asleep quicker!

Be in the State of Witness
- It is only when you get attached to the situations or people, that you are stressed out. But only when you become a witness of your mind, being a pure conscious, then your stress is evaporated with the help of wisdom of self. Once you are truly happy, you cannot be stressed. My favorite blog that can make you truly happy is: http://thehappybaba.blogspot.com

Emotional Awareness
- I think emotional awareness is key to becoming emotionally resilient. Asking oneself "What are the emotions I feel right now?" "What got me here? i.e what are my stressors?" & "What can I do to get out of this situation" does help a great deal to build resilience. You become a part of the solution and that is resilience in action.

Be Strong In Adversity
- I have learnt from my life: always the unexpected may happen, but one has to be bold enough to endure any adversity with prayer and conviction, believing that 'In every cloud there is a silver lining, i.e. in every misfortune a chance'. You never Know what God put aside for you. Teka G.

Staying Emotionally Resilient
- Life is too short, whatver happens everything shall pass, so what is the point of worrying..so stay cool, enjoy life and do not be influenced by the external factor happening around you..you are not God to control them, but you can surely control your reaction towards any incident. Am I right or Am I right?
