To Much I Can't Control

In this past year: My parents got divoreced, my fiance and boyfriend of over 2 years left me, I have to sell my house and both my horses. Not to mention I was sick this whole year, really sick. The stress has completly shot my nerves and constantly makes me loose weight. The only thing i know to do is be with people I love and get lots of support.

Car Culture

I get stressed with the car culture and traffic and what cars do to destroy human simplicity and nature. If I had my way, all highways would be ripped up and made into bike paths, and our lives would be healthier and simpler and Planet Earth would be the better for it! And we could eliminate violence for oil.

Share Stressors

I am totally stressed out about my husbands health. He had colorectal cancer and surgery was Nov 14 08. His surgeon said that there was almost a zero chance of it returning because it was caught in the early stages, but I'm still stressed that it will come back somewhere else. His next colonoscopy is in Aug to check for polyps or anything else and I'm a mess until then.

Too Much Anything

I get stressed when there's too much--too much work to do, too much cleaning to do, even too many fun activities scheduled on the weekend! I like to keep things a little more simple.

Job Stress

My job can be incredibly stressful. I've been at this job for decades, but I'm still not used to the stress because things are kind of unpredictable around here. I try to spend a lot of time with my buddies when I'm not working, to bring some fun into my life. (And I always feel great after a few games of hoops.)

Caring Too Much

I find that I get stressed easily in social situations because I think of all the ways in which things could go wrong, how people may be unkind, etc. When people do things I don't like, I don't know how to tell if it's personal or not, and I get stressed trying to handle it. I think the stress from dealing with people makes me more stressed overall. I end up sticking with just a few good friends I can trust.
