Weight Loss, Thinning Hair and Stress

Earlier this week, the New York Times ran a piece on Sarah Palin, which discusses her decision to step down as Governor of Alaska. It mentioned her friends' concerns over reported weight loss, thinning hair and anxiety, due to some of the stresses she has faced.

Politics aside, this brings up an important topic: stress and health. We've all probably faced times of stress where we feel overwhelmed and suspect it's taking a physical toll. But just how much of a toll can stress take? Can stress really lead to thinning hair or hair loss? How can stress affect weight? And what can be done about stress and anxiety? Most of the people having stress. If you’re conscious in your activities, you can easily find the moments and then you can avoid the situations which makes stress.

Hair loss sometimes comes along with weight loss since dieting decreases the nutrients our body’s intake, thus, our hair doesn’t receive enough nutrients.
