Lifestyle structures are systems we put into place to make certain behavior changes, habits, or plans an automatic part of our lifestyles. They can help relieve stress by making behavior changes more automatic, requiring less thought and planning each time. Weekly exercise classes, for example, can be used as structures to ensure that exercise is a regular part of our routine. (See this for more on life structures.) Martial Arts Classes

I'd been feeling isolated and out of shape, and martial arts classes fixed both of those issues for me! I found that it was much easier to skip out on a workout if I was at home, but telling my sensei that I was too tired to finish a few kicks was just not comfortable. And being in the class gave me reason to want to put on the gi and come out! Plus, I made many friends in the class and felt great about myself after a few months. I'd recommend it to anyone.
