I Never Knew This Was Me

In reading everything that was said on this page in regards to self-sabotage, I have been doing this my whole entire life and when my girl friend was saying that I am acting like everything that is mentioned I refused to listen cause I didn't want to admit that this is me, and now I can say this is most definitely me. I am finding it so difficult to stop this and not push away any further than what I have cause my behaviour has cost me my relationship because I stressed her out so much and belittled her. So if anyone has anything to help me stop this behaviour so maybe I can somehow fix things between her and I someday, I would very much appreciate it very much.

Plan for the Worst and Pray for the Best

I am an easy-go-lucky-kind of guy and like to think positively all the time which includes planning for personal and work events even with my day to day activities. If something went wrong I just shrug it off as something that can't be avoided since it no one can predict the future. Well due to some bad experiences, I realized that its best to plan ahead, think proactively of possible worst scenarios, try to prevent them and hope for the best. If something went wrong again even with all of this steps then shrug it off and learn from it.

Nix the Coffee

I started drinking coffee gradually enough that I didn't realize how much more stressed I could become after the first cup. After I cut WAY back on coffee, I feel as young as I'd like to be, and actually have more energy and optimism.

Plan Ahead

I used to always be running around and trying to get things done at the last minute. After I started planning ahead (laying clothes out the night before, putting things I need to take with me by the door, etc.) I was able to relax more because I didn't have so many things to remember, and I wasn't always running around so much, making myself late and stressing.
