How Does Cortisol Work?
When explaining how Cortislim works, one must first explain the role of cortisol, sometimes called the "stress hormone", and a key player in the body's fight or flight response. Basically, cortisol is necessary for proper physical functioning, and healthy in small doses. However, when the body perceives that a physical or psychological threat is imminent, the fight or flight response is activated and cortisol is released in higher amounts to allow for a burst of energy and other physical changes that allow the body to better fight or run. Then the body undergoes the relaxation response and all systems return to normal. However, in times of chronic stress, homeostasis is never reached and the body maintains increased levels of cortisol, which can be damaging to the body in many ways. One side effect of increased cortisol in the body can be weight gain, especially in the abdominal area, which can bring more negative health consequences than fat stored in other areas of the body. Whats The Controversy?
There have been no scientifically validated, reviewed and published independent studies verifying the effectiveness of Cortislim on body fat or stress relief. In fact, because of this and other factors, the FTC has ordered the makers of Cortislim to refrain from making some of their former claims of weight loss effectiveness. Additionally, there is a class action lawsuit pending against the makers of Cortislim by dissatisfied customers who found the claims made by the company to be misleading.
Is Cortislim Effective?
Some people still say, "yes", and others say "no". If Cortislim works as it's said to, one could expect not only weight loss but the added bonus of stress relief to come with its use, and many people have found this. Others have actually said the product made them gain weight, or even become extremely ill. Reading reviews online and talking to your doctor are important steps to take.
While Cortislim may indeed be effective for many, it could also be problematic for some. You should always talk to your doctor and do your research before beginning any new supplement. You should also consider that there are many tension-reducing practices you can learn free of charge that have no negative side effects. Also, several stress-relieving activities, like yoga and walking, have the added benefit of physical fitness and weight loss. For more on these, visit the resources listed below.
