Take Advantage of Stress Awareness Month!

Follow me on:

April is officially Stress Awareness Month, which makes it an excellent time to really focus on becoming aware of the stress in your life, its effects on your body, and ways to minimize it. You may already be aware of some of these things, or all of them to an extent, but this is the month to delve a little deeper. And I'm here to help!

Throughout this month, I'll be covering the basics as well as more complex aspects of stress and stress management, will provide you with tools to explore your situation, and will provide you with opportunities to connect with others in order to share questions, advice and support. Yes, that's pretty much what I do year-round, but during this month in particular, I'll bring you the most important information on stress in a step-by-step way so it's simpler than ever before to get an overview of what's important, or for those who have been readers for a while, delve deeper.

Today, we can focus on the basics: what constitutes 'stress', and what brings stress. I also have an exciting new type of page called a 'Users' Answers' page where you can leave your own answers to questions we explore here, and read other readers' answers. (You can always do that by leaving posts in the forum or comments on blogs, but this is a way to have your answers be part of an article on a specific topic.)

The following resources can help you to understand the basics of stress:

What stresses you? (Be one of the first to share it in the User Answers article!) And what do you hope to achieve during Stress Awareness Month? A less stressed lifestyle? A few more stress relievers in your bag of tricks? The ability to let things roll off of your back? Share it in the comments section of this blog, or in the Stress Management Forum.
