Happy Spiritual Wellness Month!

Wednesday March 11, 2009
Many people say that their spirituality is what gets them through the really difficult times in life. Whatever path brings you to God, it seems to be a path that carries you through the toughest of times as well. Because March has officially been named 'Spiritual Wellness Month', I wanted to bring some spirituality resources to you.

Spirituality Resources From Elizabeth Scott:

What spiritual activities help you through the stressful times? Share your answers in the comments section. (I'm not asking for arguments on which religion is the best, but more which practices help you, like prayer, or communing with others, etc.)

Thanks for asking.

Prayer and meditation are by far the most effective practices for me.

Thanks for sharing, Susan, and good for you. Many people find those to be most effective, and research seems to back it up.

For me, meditation is very important. When I’m really stressed, acupuncture is an amazing way to quickly become centered, enter a meditative state, and release my tension.

Hey E, been awhile huh?! :) Well, just wanted to say that for the record, our paths don’t “bring us to God” so to speak, but rather, GOD comes to us when we are NOT. In otherwords, if “we” are searching for God, we will miss because there is still a searcher searching for God. Only when we become hollow like a bamboo does GOD come to us. Funny enough, GOD is omnipresent so actually GOD never leaves us to begin with! We just THINK God does and because we THINK, we seperate ourselves from GOD.
;)
Have a happy spring! :)

Prayer opens up the communication that brings me to the awareness that I am not alone…
But what I find helps most is to find gratitude for all the blessings I do recieve.
